Frontpage Talk Moderator

Saturday, July 21, 2007
Well Frontpage Talk approached me and asked if I would consider being a moderator.  I told them of course, I would.  It is no conflict of interest from being an administrator over on Expression Web and Frontpage Forums.  I spend a lot of time moderating boards and forums and then whatever time I have left, I will answer questions.

Forum Post Count

Let's count some of the posts that I have.
  • International Web Developers Network: I am an admin on this board (username Corey Bryant when you join) 1,843 posts.
  • Expression and FrontPage Forums and Portals: I am also an admin on this board with 3,971 posts.
  • Experts Exchange: I am a Zone editor and a Clean-Up Volunteer with 6,476 comments posted; 1,352 questions answered; and 1,606 questions participated in.
  • HTML Code Tutorial Help:  I am a moderator on this board with 6,559 posts.
  • Small Business Forums: I am a "Super Moderator" on this board with 5,145 posts.
  • Web Hosting Chat: I am a moderator on this board with 223 posts (yeah I know not that many).
  • Web Hosting Talk: I am a member of this board with 6,770 posts.  Most of the members are usually looking for the cheapest deal (which I know cannot be bad) but you will see their youth being shown in a lot of the posts.
  • SitePoint Forums: I am a member with 2,312 posts.  This board I do not recommend at all.  They have a pretty large clique and will really come down on you if you attempt to say anything bad about one of them.
  • Digital Point Forums:  I am a member here with 853 posts.  Another board that is not that great.  A lot of kids and people who are not based in the United States complaining how companies have regulations that prohibit them from doing business.
  • WebmasterWorld: I am a supporting member here with 1,555 posts.  You might remember I wrote a little something about it last month: Getting Traffic to Your Website.
  • OutFront Webmaster Forum: I am a member here with 1,937 posts.
  • Tek-Tips: I am a member here with 574 posts.
These are just the forums I participate on a daily basis usually. There are scores of others as well.  And there is always a forum that specializes in your question.

Getting Help from Forums or Newsgroups

Always give a good subject and if you need help with source code, providing that would help a lot.  Posting a URL can be OK at times, but if that server is down or if you have blocked right click with JavaScript, don't expect any help.
